Conservative cutting count: one kerf per finished piece; trim deducted at both stock ends. Long courses use separate stock for each segment; offcuts are not shared between courses. End-trim allowance includes all material removed while preparing each end. This is not a cutting optimization, fastener schedule or support design. Verify narrow final courses and every joint location; extra stock allowance does not make an impossible cut fit.
